My first album.

 

Moonshine is a collection of stripped down blues tunes by the likes of Blind Blake, Charley Patton, Gus Cannon's Jug Stompers, Papa Charlie Jackson and other blues musicians of the 1920s and 30s.

 

The album also features some original material, firmly rooted in old time blues music.

 

I play a variety of instruments including various modern and vintage acoustic guitars, a vintage National resonator, ukulele and six string banjo.  One track features double bass played by my wife, and two tracks feature Americna harp player Mike Petersen.

 

The entire project was recorded, mixed and mastered by me, using Audio Technica condenser microphones and Cubase.
